Question of air bag suspension?

Ricoo J asked:

I own a chrysler new yorker 1988 and it sags in the back of my car but the small airbags in the back that originally came with it have no holes rips or tears the hoses seem fine to give it air when i turn my car on the generator to pump them up makes a noise to make the back end go up then its a little better but i was looking under there and after about 15 seconds after it pumps air to them it makes like a click noise then it sags back down again the noise comes from the air compressor thing but when i first got the car it never did this what could be wrong so theres no leaks or holes so what?

ok 2 possibilities come to mind here one it is leaking. the other the level switch has gone bad turn the car on and let it pump up then sptay the air bags, lines and connectors with soapy water or windex. if air is leaking you will see bubbles. second there is a level senser near the middle of the rear axle it has a rod hooked to it that goes up to the body make sure the arm is not bent then disconect the rod and move the arm on the senser up and down the air system should raise and lower the caropposite af the movement of the senser arm. if not it is bad. also see strutmasters.com for air suspension parts and coilspring conversion kits.
