Is there a head I can add to a paintball CO2 bottle, that will let it store compressed air?
armorsmith42 asked:
I believe there are 2 reasons that these bottles cannot store compressed air:
1) the head on the air compressor (the kind contractors use for nail guns) doesn’t match the one on the bottle
2) air is 74% Nitrogen gas (N2) which is a smaller molecule and thus will leak through the head.
I want to know: is this true, and is there anywhere I can buy a head, adapter, or nipple that will allow me to connect a CO2 bottle to an air compressor and then connect that bottle to a marker (gun)

uhhhh co2 and air can go in the same system. For example. An ion runs better on air but i see people runningco2 on theris with no adapters. Just buy an air tank.
NO THERE IS NOT.
Don’t forget, the CO2 tank is often not designed to such a high pressure as some of the “nitrogen” tanks. Also, most of the nitro tanks have regulators off them to bring the air pressure back from the 3000psi or 4500psi levels back down toward the 600psi levels which is much more friendly toward the gun.
Check with the guys filling the CO2 tanks and see if what you have can be filled and if so, to what pressure. Maybe they’ll put compressed air in it to the 800psi level or something, but just remember you probably won’t get a lot of shots out of that compared to someone with a bigger bottle with a lot more pressure in there…
good luck and keep it safe on this one !
