It has a low capacity but is fine for airing up tires and using a brad nailer. It won’t keep up with many air tools such as an impact wrench or grinder.

A 3 gallon compressor would be good for a nail gun and, inflating tires. It won’t work an impact wrench or air spray painter well.

Look at your tools… what cfm do they need at typically 90 PSI? 3 gallon compressor might be able to handle some tools providing the compressor itself can keep up. Compare to what the compressor is rated for.

I have a 6 gallon 3 HP Craftsman that can handle most tools. Won’t do extended runs with impact wrench, can’t sand blast, impact hammer on short bursts only. But nail gun, stapler and such work great for hobby projects.

I have a 3 gallon air compressor and it will keep up with two framing nail guns, and works great for trim nail guns. I also use it for airing up tires, various types of balls. So depending on what you intend to use it for it shold work just fine.
